- An associate professor and the head of the wood department at the Oregon College of Art and Craft, Karl Burkheimer creates wood sculptures that recall half-finished shop projects. Art Beat follows him as he sets up an installation for a group show at the Museum of Contemporary Craft. The show, called "Call and Response,” pairs seven artists with essays by seven different writers.
