Musician Cam Newton

Guitarist and composer Cam Newton spent his 20s playing jazz with Oregon luminaries. Now he's getting ready to release a CD of his own music, "Short Films." He also works as a music therapist, getting senior citizens to get up, sing and dance.

Dark Horse Comics Author Mike Mignola

In 1994 Mike Mignola's first Hellboy story, "The Seed of Destruction," was published by Dark Horse Comics. The series about a paranormal investigator from Hell soon proved to be a popular and critical success with its abstract artwork and H.P. Lovecraft-style horror. It helped make Dark Horse, headquartered in Milwaukie, Oregon, one of the leading publishers of adult comics in the world.
