Don Hunter records and archives the sounds of everyday life. He started as a high school student in Eugene in 1932. We join Don on a recording field trip to capture the noises of a passing train. He looks for unusual and unique sounds, as well as those that are disappearing from the scene.

Photographer Christopher Burkett
Christopher Burkett was reared in the Pacific Northwest. He became a monk, and began photography as a way to capture light, as an expression of his faith. After leaving the order, he continued his career as a photographer. He's known for nature photos of incredible detail, captured with a large 8-by-10 camera.

The Gordon House is the only house in Oregon designed by renowned architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. To save the house from destruction, it's been moved to the Oregon Garden in Silverton, where it is now open to the public.
