- The raw material of Erhard Gross' carvings comes from the tusks of woolly mammoths and mastodons. He uses these remnants of the Ice Age to create create delicate flowers and detailed animals, sometimes arranged in realistic vignettes. Erhard caught "ivory fever" the first time he ever touched it, while he was on a trip to Alaska to study native art.

- When Fritz Richmond passed away in 2005, Oregon lost one of the greatest washtub bass and jug players of all time. Fritz has been featured on dozens of albums and became famous nation-wide, playing with John Sebastian, Tom Rush and the Jim Kweskin Jug Band.
