Carole McCarty has worked in an astonishing range of media, including fiber arts, children’s book illustration, wood carving, and, for the past 15 years, oil painting. After years in Hawaii, she returned to her home in Pendleton, where she became fascinated with clouds. Working from photographs, she creates her cloudscapes without brushes, using oil sticks and her fingers to create vivid, realistic images.
