A whopping 279 bills were introduced as the Legislature convened this week for its first short session since voters approved annual meetings in 2010. Lawmakers have held special emergency sessions in off-years before, but this is the first time they'll be constrained to a constitutionally-mandated maximum of 35 days for the February session. Budget talks will no doubt take up a lot of time, but there are plenty of other issues vying for a chance to make it to the floor.
What legislation are you watching this session? What would indicate to you that this short session has been a success?
GUESTS:
